MR/ M.Barakat

Barakat has extensive banking experience spanning more than 30 years through his work in the field of investment banking with multinational institutions, including Misr International Bank, Société Générale (France), and Qatar National Bank Al Ahli. He has handled various files related to the banking system, financial inclusion, and anti–money laundering, and has obtained several financial-sector certifications from the Central Bank of Egypt.
He also has experience in the information technology sector, where he worked in data analysis and classification, supervised the modernization of sector systems across multiple phases, and demonstrated strong capabilities in team leadership, staff preparation and training, knowledge transfer, and developing qualified leaders for different sectors.
He held several managerial positions and supervised bank system integration processes during his tenure at Misr International Bank.
He served as Director of Systems Monitoring and Performance Efficiency Assurance in the Technology Sector at Qatar National Bank.
In the area of public activities and community work, he served as Executive Director of the Delta Foundation for Community Service and Economic Development. In cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, the foundation implemented several initiatives and cooperation protocols, for which he received the Ministry of Environment’s Shield for Environmental Excellence.
He is also involved with Lions Clubs International, serving as Chairman of the Reading Committee and a member of the Environment Committee in Egypt.
Additionally, he is a member of the Arab Union for Sustainable Development and Environment under the umbrella of the League of Arab States, and is currently a member of the Afro-Asian Association for the Digital Economy, Investment, and Entrepreneurship.
He also presented a televised talk show on Egyptian Television highlighting the state’s achievements after the June 30 Revolution, the impact of development on various sectors, and the resulting benefits for citizens.
Currently, Mohamed Ali is working on presenting a set of innovative ideas aimed at increasing household income and achieving economic empowerment, within the framework of social solidarity initiatives, sustainability, environmental protection, and financial inclusion.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Cairo University, a diploma in Mainframe Computer Management from IBM Egypt, and completed training courses in operating systems from the University of Miami (Florida, USA) and IBM in the state of Missouri.
